These 5 foundations of Nutritional Therapy help us keep a bio-individual approach with each client. This approach will help clients meet goals and obtain tools to regain intuition in their bodies.

Nutrient Dense Diet

The world is full of diverse nutrients that uniquely cater to the needs for our body.  When we lack diversity on our plate we miss out on essential nutrients our bodies need to thrive. Nutrients fuel the various body systems and help them work in harmony with one another.

Digestion

Our digestive system is a complex part of our body, starting in the brain and flowing all the way down. Each step of the journey has an important role and function. Without digestion we can't absorb nutrients or eliminate waste. Absorbed nutrients help our everyday functioning and elimination is our body's way of detoxifying itself. When this process is out of balance it can take a toll on our wellbeing.

Stress

A more important foundation than people often give it credit for. Stress and our nervous system are related to every single function in the body. When the nervous system is dysregulated most likely many other things are as well. Not all stress is bad, but when stress is out of balance our bodies start feeling the burden.

Sleep

An essential part of health that is often overlooked in society.  Sleep is when our bodies recover and repair the damage of the day. When sleep is compromised so is recovery.  Often we don’t even see the repercussion of this until our bodies start experiencing major burnout. With a lack of awareness in our society for good quality sleep, it can be challenging to establish healthy sleep hygiene.

Blood Sugar Regulation

This is not just something for people struggling with blood sugar related illness.  Blood sugar regulation is an important part of our whole body functioning in harmony. Glucose is the body's primary energy source and fuels all major body systems.  When sugars in the body are not functioning as they were designed to we might notice various burdens arise, both physiologically and mentally.

No foundation can be the sole proprietor of good health.  These foundations work harmoniously to bring balance to our bodies.  When once one foundation improves it's only a matter of time until the others follow.
